Export Line

A ready export-style pack for South African teams sending branded items to regional launches, partners, or travelling staff.

Regional handover packs that travel well

Export Line is for branded packs going to regional launches, partner visits or travelling staff beyond the usual local drop. It helps shape a kit that packs cleanly, travels sensibly and still represents the brand properly when it arrives. It suits jobs where movement, handover and presentation all matter.

Export Line is for branded kits leaving the usual South African handover route and heading to a regional launch, partner meeting or travelling rep. The pack needs to survive a courier bag, airport handling or a vehicle boot without the print rubbing off or the contents arriving mixed up. We usually shape these around compact items, labelled inners and a presentation layer that still looks sharp at handover.

Photos of the venue and the current pack-out help more than a long description. They show whether the kit must fit into carry-on luggage, sit on a reception counter, or be handed over in a boardroom with no setup time. That changes the outer carton, the inner wrap, and whether paper pieces need backing cards or sleeves.

What goes into the export pack

Most Export Line jobs end with a defined contents list, packing sequence and labelled units per destination. One line might need gift bags with apparel and a welcome card, while another needs document wallets, notebooks and low-bulk desk items for partner visits. The aim is a pack that reads as organised when opened, not a loose collection of branded stock.

Before widening the item list, match Export Line to the receiving country, handover date and who will unpack first. Include stock counts, missed items from the previous run and any customs-sensitive contents on the contact form. One image of the current branded items also helps show size, colour and print finish.

Travel conditions that change packaging

A kit going out through OR Tambo does not get packed the same way as a local event drop in Johannesburg or Pretoria. Outer cartons may need clearer destination marking, and soft goods often need individual bagging so they arrive presentable after transit. Where counts are split across cities or partner offices, each unit should be easy to identify without opening every box.

Heat, humidity and dust all affect what travels best from South Africa into the region. Paper inserts can curl, dark garments can pick up lint, and brittle acrylic pieces need better protection than standard event stock. If battery items, liquids or food are involved, flag that early because those contents may change the pack design completely.

Details to include in the brief

Brief Export Line with venue photos, event dates, stock counts, and what has already gone wrong. Keep the subject line clear.

Send the destination, event date, item counts and who will receive the pack on arrival. Add any venue photos, branding references and notes on what failed last time, especially missing units, damaged print or cartons that were difficult to sort. That gives Export Line enough to shape a pack that travels cleanly and still lands in brand.
